In my house, cat-care books seem almost as plentiful as cat hair. As a book reviewer who lives with four cats, I see a lot of each. One of the best feline health and behavior books I've come across in a long time is the ASPCA Complete Guide to Cats. Drawing upon his professional expertise as director of the Cornell Feline Health Center, James R. Richards offers readers a thorough, well-written look at all things feline. Emphasizing health, behavior and inclusion into the right home, the author guides cat owners through the selection and lifelong care of a cat. Cat breeds and historical information are also included in this practical, user-friendly reference book.

Very good book

This was a really good book. The author did a good job at explaining the behaviors of cats. He also points out which breeds are good in which homes. The color pictures are just beautiful... and some are extremely funny. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has even a smidgen of interest in cats. There are so many breeds that I did not know even existed! He also shows pictures and descriptions of mixed breed cats and even points out the benefits of spaying and neutering! So full of information. It had me in awe and I thought I already knew alot. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Gimmicky, Too-cute approach lacks substance

Sometimes, "a picture is worth a thousand words," IF the meaning is clear.

The entire approach of this study guide is built around the idea that pictures are easier to remember than words, an idea that is not entirely true, especially if the reader is not familiar with all the little ideograms, their assigned meanings - often quite a stretch - and the reasons for placing them in the specific relationships.

The authors are clearly very knowledgeable about CSEP. In the first few pages, they advised that applicants would have to know not only the major processes, etc., but their outputs. That was good information.

If they had simply written a decent study guide, I would have been very happy. Instead, they produced this gimmick-ridden pamphlet.

This study guide should be re-written. The publishers and resellers owe customers an apology.

Not worth the money

Aside from a few tid bits of advice this book was not of much value to me. There are numerous references to the INCOSE SE handbook and only a few substantive paragraphs. The book is very light on content.

The memory aids aren't worth much. Read Tony Butan's book instead.

Don't waste your money. Read the SE handbook. It has all you need.

CSEP Guide Undocumented

The concept on the CSEP guide was good, but lacked enough doucmentation to stand alone. They intended for you to use it with the INCOSE Handbook, but even with that, the guide does not present the diagrams well enough. Another few hours and some support would produce a fisrt rate product.

If only I had found it sooner!!

This book is great. It gives you pointers on drawing manga characters that I think all "how to draw manga" books should have. You want to learn more then how to draw a basic 3/4 view head? Tired of the same beginner crap that all how to draw so and so books seem to ONLY have? This is the book for you! It's intermediate, yes, but in my opinion this is the book I've been waiting for since I started drawing anime characters!

Think you can't be a manga/anime artist? Feel like your missing something instrumental? This book will teach you how to make your character have that "vibe", and point things out that will move you on from flat simple character renditions to what you know is really inside that character.

Get it while you still can!
